Buy Some Non-Hybrid, Non-GMO Seeds!

These seeds will produce plants that are open-pollinated, meaning you can save the seeds produced from the plants for growing the following year. Meaning you don't have to keep buying seeds every year, and you'll always have a way to grow things you can eat. Just like how people have done for thousands of years, imagine that!

You currently still have a choice to opt out of a corporate-controlled food supply, and genetically modified crops that may well have disastrous consequences on human health and the environment. The potential effects of GM crops are not yet known, but corpo-world wants us all to be the unwitting testers/consumers of their franken-foods. And their friends and acolytes in the U.S. Government are only too happy to facilitate that.

You don't need massive amounts of space to grow food. If you have a yard, or even if you just have a patio or balcony you can grow a surprising amount of food. If you use tobacco, why not try growing some organic tobacco plants? That way you'll have a supply even if the grid goes down for an extended period of time, for whatever reason. And something useful to barter with, I might add.

Even if you don't want to start growing things now, these seeds can keep for years when stored properly. Might be a good insurance policy.... and if nothing else, you'll have a jump on that garden in 2014.
