Well, dearies,

I'm off to make a last minute feed store run and also to pick up a last x-mess gift. I hate braving the stores today, but I've been working so many shifts this past week I've gotten nothing done. Also, having no funds makes shopping difficult, too! Fortunately, my clan is very non-materialistic, and for us, a very limited number of small, thoughtful gifts is the norm.

As a lovely break from the crass commercialism of the season, I'd like to offer this respite of awesome on Twisted Sifter. It's the top 100 pictures of the day from the site, and they are amazing. If you love art, nature, and photography, make this site one of your regular stops.

What I love about this time of year is being able to spend time with loved ones. (And also the pears!) I hope you enjoy the time you get to spend with your special people this year...and that's what we'll remember at the end of our lives, not the money that was spent.

Peace to all, and stay warm!
