Revolving Door Government

It's a blatant betrayal of the public interest, and it's obvious Congress has completely abdicated its responsibility to stop these conflicts of interest, or to oversee the agencies they are tasked with overseeing.

Nowhere is the revolving door between industry and the government agencies that regulate them more obvious than this: The designer of Obama's healthcare plan, the one which requires "that everyone purchase the products of the private health insurance industry, unaccompanied by any public alternative", is taking a profitable position in Big Pharma.

Why won't Congress do anything? Because this corrupt system works out beautifully for many of them, as well. As Glenn Greenwald writes, "all of which has been made perfectly legal by the same insular, Versailles-like Washington culture that so lavishly benefits from all of this".

It may sound sexist but, the bitch that penned most of Obamacare, especially the $1000 mandate, just got hired by Big Pharma!

Aint that sweet?
