Ah, Freddie....

My beloved! Today's Rolling Stone features some rarely seen photos of the iconic Freddie Mercury, which are part of a new book of photographs by Sean O' Hagan. The picture below was taken in 1970 at his flat. This was when the band Queen was being formed, and it shows a young Mercury who was still quite shy.
























This picture was taken in 1985, around the time Freddie put out his first solo album, Mr. Bad Guy. He still performed with Queen while doing his own projects.

















This is one of my favorites, as well - Queen in 1985 performing at Live Aid in the UK. This is the epitome of Queen - live in every sense of the word, at the top of their game. Long live the Queen.
