That's exactly how I got through school!

More than ever, "studying" could adequately be replaced with the term "memorizing", 'cause isn't that all they do in secondary education these days? Maybe even higher education?

Critical thinking, and other higher level types of learning, aren't even attempted, are they?

No, critical or analytical thinking (the non-technical kind) is NOT encouraged. Corpo-World has a large role in determining who presents what at the university now.

And K-12? It's just regurgitation training for standardized tests. When people talk about "good schools" now, they means schools where the standardized tests scores are high.

I dunno, guess I forgot! Oh well!

Peter,
Congratulations. You're now qualified to run for VP with McCain!

Anna,
We don't need no education...(that's why gawd invented smart phones). All we need to get by in life is how to ask your phone a question.
That and pay the ignorant fees to the telecom companies so more kids can grow up stupider than the previous generation.

And when the battery dies and the kid is out in public, panic sets in!

Glorioski! Imagine if today's young'uns didn't have GPS. How could the ever find their assholes? Not too many maps showing them.

Question: What's a map?
Answer: Same thing as a pay phone, record or Democrat; useless!

Oh man, I love maps! I hate GPS. And I still have boxes of vinyl records, because I love those too...
Guess I'm a dinosaur!

Would they have to look in the mirror and find the area without a tattoo?**

**Well, until just recently, that is. ;-)

Peter,
Just heard from a friend who does tat work. They now have glow-in-the-dark inks (she doesn't think they're permanent, though!).
So the young 'uns can find their 'openings' even in the dark!

Sort of a "nightlight" when your significant other sleeps on their stomach!

Also, it gives new meaning to:

I'd say so! As the author asks, are you "[w]ondering whether unbalanced corporate power and the money corruption of republican democracy not only creates terrible public policy and cynical, broken civics but also huge debt and bloated federal budgets?" Read this, and then link to the U.S. Senate report.
