MAIN-FM Temporarily Suspends Over-the-air Broadcasting

Yeah, this sucks, but the good news is when they return to the air, it will be with full power, at 100 watts. MAIN-FM, a community-based, low-power station, has been broadcasting at only "a fraction of its 100 watts due to restrictions promoted by the commercial broadcast lobby."

And another piece of good news is that you can still hear MAIN's programs via the internet during the transition. I know that doesn't help you in the car, but you can still stream the programs we can't get on any other area station. One of the programs I love on MAIN is from Alternative Radio. Check out their website, where you can download some tremendous discussions to your mp3 for $1.00.
