Bush Appearance in Canada Cancelled Amid Mass Public Pressure for Arrest

Naturally, the MSM in Amerikka isn't discussing this embarrassing tidbit. But just because our beltway bubble people (and what passes for a judicial system and a free press) chooses to ignore the fact that BushCo and associates are international war criminals, it doesn't mean the rest of the world does.

Veteran's Today points out that overall, "the main stream media in the USA has been absolutely silent on the international rejection of George W. Bush...Instead, the rest of the world is taking over for us as we’ve vacated the leadership stage. The conscience vacuum has been filled by Canadians and others worldwide who’ve decide to get up and stand up and fight against what we’ve become....How embarrassing is it that we no longer stand for justice, peace, and humanity..."

And on a related front, Dick Cheney is still insisting on promoting his delusional and self-justifying memoir in Vancouver on September 26. In response, some Canadian residents are planning his arrest. The group Lawyers Against War has sent the prime Minister a signed letter detailing why Canada has a legal obligation to detain war criminals.

Vancouver lawyer Gail Davidson is also pushing for Cheney's arrest when he arrives in Canada. In Coto Report's piece on Cheney's Canadian visit, Davidson emphasizes that "Canada ratified the international convention against torture, it accepted a duty not just to Canadians but to everyone. And that is to “take effective measures to prevent and punish torture wherever it occurs, whatever the nationality of the victims are, and whatever the nationality of the perpetrators”.

When I was a boy in elementary school, we were told that the "evil" communists brainwashed their citizens. Now millions of Americans do not know, cannot or will not see what many more millions around the world see as obvious. Now, who are the brainwashed?

Excellent observation, vampy. Brainwashed is a very appropriate description of a citizenry seemingly hypnotized and/or entertained into a literal stupor by our 24/7 programming.

That's right, FT. BushCo bought up over 100,000 acres down there. Virtually right over the world's largest Aquifer.

Hmmmm....should we warn the indigenous residents of the area? About the coming "Resident Evil"?
